Quick Start

Get the Perfect Dodges mod installed and working on your server in just a few steps.

Installation​

  1. Download the latest version of Perfect Dodges
  2. Place the JAR into your server's mods/ folder
  3. Start (or restart) the server

On first run, the mod automatically generates its config file. Use /dodgemodsettings to adjust these settings.

How to Dodge​

Press your Ability 2 key. Your character will dash in the direction you are currently pressing via WASD. If you're standing still, you'll dodge backward.

What Happens When You Dodge​

When you perform a dodge, you dash in your chosen direction with a brief invincibility window (200ms by default). If an attack hits you during that window, you won't take damage and will perform a reactive dodge animation:

  • Low hit (legs): your character flips over the attack
  • Mid hit (body): your character twirls around the attack
  • High hit (head): your character rolls under the attack

Alternative Trigger Mode​

If ability keys are disabled via /dodgemodsettings, the mod switches to sprint-tap mode. Tap the sprint or walk key to trigger a dodge. See Dodging Mechanics for full details on both trigger modes.

The alternative trigger modes are deprecated and will not be updated to keep up with all the new features. It has merely stayed as a configurable option.
